On November 12th, 2025, the German Embassy in Bangladesh hosted a sophisticated private celebration in Dhaka to honor German Unity Day. For this prestigious gathering of government advisors, political leaders, and top journalists, the Embassy commissioned Studio Z to create a unique projection-mapped tribute on a miniature replica of the Berlin Wall.
The production support, event and total management: Extra Cheese
The goal: a meaningful, artistic, and culturally connected storytelling experience.

Client Goals & Challenges
The Embassy needed an installation that carried both historical depth and emotional significance. Their goals included:
- Portraying the story of German Unity through a modern immersive medium
- Drawing a parallel between Germany’s unity and the resilient spirit of Bangladesh
- Delivering an experience polished enough to match the Ambassador’s personal standard
- Impressing a high-profile audience with global exposure to similar experiences
Challenges
- The event carried diplomatic sensitivity and required flawless execution
- The installation needed to feel respectful, culturally accurate, and artistically compelling
- Every detail had to maintain the sophistication expected at an Embassy-level tribute

Studio Z’s Creative & Technical Solution
Studio Z designed and produced a full projection-mapped show on a 22-foot-wide, 8-foot-high miniature model of the iconic Berlin Gate.
Key Creative Decisions
- A narrative that connected the spirit of German Unity with Bangladesh’s cultural resilience
- Smooth transitions, symbolic imagery, and dynamic immersive sequences
- A tone that balanced historical respect, visual storytelling, and emotional clarity
Technical Execution
- Custom-built 3D visuals crafted exclusively for the miniature installation
- Projection mapping synchronized to represent unity, peace, and shared human values
- Controlled entirely from a tent-based Production Control Room (PCR) due to high-security guest presence
The entire show was crafted to feel global, premium, and deeply meaningful.
Results That Spoke for Themselves
Despite the high-profile nature of the audience — ministers, diplomats, policy advisors, and senior journalists — the response exceeded expectations.
- The crowd applauded enthusiastically at the end of the show, breaking the formal tone of the evening
- Guests personally congratulated the Honorable Ambassador for presenting such an engaging experience
- Journalists later expressed surprise that this refined immersive experience was designed and executed entirely in Bangladesh
- Multiple attendees praised the creative storytelling approach and technological finesse
The installation became a memorable highlight of the Unity Day celebration.
Lessons Learned & Future Applications
This project highlighted the importance of precision in high-security diplomatic environments.
Studio Z’s Takeaways
